Offshore Portable Diesel Engine Generators

FG Generator Sdn Bhd (FGG), our dealer in Malaysia, recently supplied 2 units of 15kVA Offshore Portable Diesel Engine Generators suitable for use in ATEX Zone 2 hazardous areas classified Gas Group IIA and Temperature Class T3.These two units were converted from the base unit of FG Wilson P22-1 generating sets.

From these FG Wilson manufactured P22-1 generating sets, FG Generator:

• Designed, added and replaced the necessary components on the diesel engine for compliance with EN 1834-1 standard for Reciprocating internal combustion engines – Safety requirements for design and construction of engines for use in potentially explosive atmospheres

• Designed, added and replaced the necessary electrical components on the generating set for compliance with IEC 60079 standard for Explosive Atmospheres

• Provided a DNV 2.7-1 certified portable offshore lifting enclosure for these generating sets with a gross weight of less than 1.5 metric tons in total
